Role/Objectives

I worked part-time for the Western Hockey League as a game night digital content creator. My role was all about staying on top of the action, clipping highlights from multiple games at once, creating graphics, and adding clever captions to bring them to life on social media. It was a great opportunity to push myself creatively and meet a higher standard of content.

 

Another role I had at the WHL was post-game night management. I would coordinate with the social media managers of specific WHL teams, get highlight packs from them, and post them to the WHL website using WordPress and the YouTube channel. There was never a boring moment working for the WHL. Between watching up to eight hockey games at a time, looking for star player highlights, or uploading highlight packs between periods, I learned a lot about time management in this role and balancing many objectives at once.
